  • The Commencement of War

    Austria's Archduke was assassinated, and they blamed it solely in Serbia.
    War was then declared between the two.
  • Others Join the Party

    Eventually, Russia and Germany went head-to-head, while France declared war on Germany as well!
    Europe was excited for the war, but was unaware of how bad it would actually be.
  • Russia Struggles

    Due to the lack of factories to produce necessities for the war, Russia's war effort weakened.
  • Britain Comes Through

    Because Russia was struggling, their ally, Great Britain, decided to force their way through Russia's frozen seas and try to come help. But once they got there, Britain attempted to take over the Ottoman Empire. After many deaths, Britain was forced to go back home, leaving Russia helpless with no more supplies than when Britain came.
  • Great Britain Vs. Germany

    Great Britain decided to block all trade from Germany, thus restricting Germany from receiving any necessities.
  • Germans Declare War

    The Germans declared a submarine blockade, and even war upon Great Britain. And on May 7th, 1915 Germany sunk one of Britain's ships, killing 1198, and by the end of that year Germany had sunk 3000 of Britain's ships.
  • Russia Vs. Germany

    Russia attempted to go against Germany in war, hoping to gain materials from them. But after losing twice, they eventually made a peace treaty with Russia.
    After this, Russia was escorted out of war, due to their lack of resources.
  • USA Enters War

    The USA entered the war for many reasons. They were allied with France and Britain, and didn't want to destroy their treaties. They also wanted to keep the power between Europe balanced, therefore they joined WWI and declared war upon Germany.
  • Germany and USA Armistice

    After a long battle, Germany and the USA declared an Armistice, or a ceasefire between the two.
  • Treaty of Versailles

    All of the countries declared a treaty, but with a catch. The Treaty of Versailles made it out to be that Germany would pay for ALL of the expenses of the war, totaling out to 37 billion dollars
