    Jan Hus teachings

    Jan Hus taught based off of John Wycliffe's teachings. They taught that the bible was more important than the pope, and everyone people should have access to the bible. This was a factor to the already weakening church. In 1412, he was exocommunicated from the church.

    Attmpts to end Great Schism

    In an attmpt to end the Great Schism, the Council of Constance forced the present three popes to resign and elect one, but they had three at the time: Avignon pope, Roman pop, and third pope elected bt an earlier council at Pisa.

    Jan Hus was persecuted by being burned at the steak.

    Council decides on one pope

    Martin V was the pope eleced by Council of Constance. This ended the Great Schism, but weaked the papacy iimmencely.
