The Gradual Increase of Nazi Persecution of the Disabled ”

  • Adolf Hitler Appointed Chancellor

    In November of 1932, the Nazi party won 33 percent of the vote, which was more than any other party, in the German Election. Due to this, President Paul von Hindenburg appointed Adolf Hitler, who was the head of the National Socialist German Workers Party (NAZI Party), the new chancellor of Germany.
  • Reichstag Fire Decree

    This law was put into place by President von Hindenburg. This law took away freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the right for people to assemble. This meant that the government now could control what was being published to citizens of Germany.
  • Burning of “Un-German” Books

    Basically, what happened in this event is Hitler ordered all of the Nazis to burn all of the books, almost, because the only books considered to be okay were ones that were pro-nazi. Any book that was Anti-Nazi, Un-German, or published by a Jew were burned.
  • Sterilization Law

    They don’t want people that have physical or mental disabilities to have babies.
  • Press Censorship Law

    This law made it so jewish people couldn't work for journalism or couldn't work for news companies.
  • Hitler Becomes Fuhrer

    President Hinder Burg died. Hitler became president. Hitler got rid of the office and declared himself as the dictator.hitler could do whatever he wanted to do.
  • Euthanasia Decree

    The Euthanasia Decree, also called the T-4 program, was sent out by Dr. Philipp Bouhler to all doctors and physicians to report any child under the age of three and kill them. The entire premise of this law was to rid the aryan race of any “financial or genetic” burdens in german society
  • Alfred Wold

    Alfred was taken to a children's ward in Vienna, Austria then murdered for his mental disability, the nazie toled his family that he died of phenomonia.
  • Announcement of Death Penalty for Aiding

    This law means anyone who would try to help, transport, or buy valuables for Jews would be sentenced to death. (In Poland)
  • Soviet Troops Liberate Auschwitz

    SS broke 60,000 prisoners from Auschwitz camp on foot but 15,000 died during the escape. Soviet troops liberated Auschwitz and found 6,00 sick/starving prisoners
