    The capital city of the Byzantines empire was named Constaintine inn 330AD. Named after their emperor Constantine I. This city was the largest and richest city in the ancient world. It was a major cross roads for major civilations. They strived in advancement in Christanity. During the down fall of the Byzantine empire. It was reduced to this city alone. The city fell to the Ottoman Turks in 1453

    The Nika Revolt or Revolution was caused by rivialy between two charit racing teams. The Blues and the Greens. The Nika Revolt was in the city of Constantinople. At this age charit racing was a major sport. Also another cause to this was certain pollycies that the goverment had that didn't appeal the the citizens very well. This revolt lasted for a week. Killed thousands of people. And almost through the goverment.

    Completed in 537 after many reconstructions. The Hagie Sophia served as the Orthodox Cathedel and the seat of the Patriach of Constantinople. It was converted to Roman Chathlic between 1204-1261AD due to crusaders. Today the building is a musem open to the public.

    The fourth crusade started when Pope Incoent the thrid sent and invasion force to conquer Jerusalem to recapture the holy land. Which was controlled by Muslims at that time. The shoulders that were sent, were known as crusaders. Most of the Popes army were military and financial supported by the Byzantine prince Alexios Angleos. Together they fought to together in Jerusalem and went on to defeat Constantinople. They succeeded. The city of Constantinople fell in 1204

The after turned in favor to the Ottoman Turks and they won. This Seige marked the end of the Byzantine Empire. And is a key role in ending the Middle Ages.
