The Anschluss
The Anschluss or union was formed in Austria and were allowed to stay based on an agreement between Hitler and the Austrian chancellor. Through the Anschluss, Hitler was able to carry out his wishes to unite, protect, and provide for German-speaking Austrians. Knowing this, you can tell that Hitler wanted to find as many Germans he could to get them on his side. -
The Munich Conference
The Munich Conference was an agreement made between Hitler and British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain to prevent war and the complete takeover of Czechoslovakia. Unfortunately for Chamberlain, Hitler takes it over anyways and shows that he is willing to do anything to gain German and overall political power. -
The Nazi-Soviet Pact
The Nazi-Soviet Pact was signed to keep Russia & Germany from going to war and in exchange for peace, Hitler received Polish lands. Based on this, you can see that Hitler's ideology and is something he doesn't just want to exist on German territory. -
World War II Begins
Germany invades Poland and East Russia while Britain and France declare war on Britain. This also shows his obssesion with power. -
Danzig and the Polish Corridor
Hitler wanted Danzigu and planned to do so by building a highway and railroad that connect Germany, Poland, and East Russia. This shows that Hitler is getting drunk with power.
