    Austin was in Mexico city taking care of some business he had. When he was going back to Texas , they caught him and arrested him. They took him back to Mexico city and he was thrown in the dungeon. It was funny that Mexico arrested probably the only guy trying to keep Mexico apart of texas. By Austin being in jail he closed Texas fate

    The battle of Gonzales
    The battle of Gonzales was the very first military engagement in the Texas revolution. It wasn’t a BIG war.They only had 18 men and only one soldier died.They also had a small cannon ! It is important Though because it marked the start of the revolution and it was a victory for Texas.

    The battle of the Alamo was a 13 day siege. This battle happened at the Alamo mission near San Antonio .People on Santa Annas team attacked the mission wich is what started everything. This was important for the revolution because it shape the events associated with west word expansion in the US .

    The Texas Declaration of Independence was signed in the convention of 1836 at Washington on the Brazsos. This document was important for many reasons one being that it freed the original 13 colonies from British rule. And it gave Texas independence.

    On March 19 Mexican troops surrounded Texans . Mexicans sent 3 attackes to our section. We ended up surrendering. This was still important to the Texas revolution even tho it was a fail for Texas

    Massacre at Goliad
    Over 300 rebellious prisoner from Texas were exacuted.This became a cry for other Texasn that yelled “Remember the alamo”
  • Battle of San Jacinto

    Battle of San Jacinto
    Texas militia with Sam Houston suprised attack against Forces of Mexican General Antonio Lopez. This marked the end of the Texas revolution and it secured Texas freedom from Mexico.
