Freedolian Rebellion
On September 1825 empasario Edwards an his brother created more problems when they take away more land grants. Edwards refused to reconize.They wanted new land grants.Edwards was ordered to stop his demand.He asked Stephen F. Austin to join their rebellion and he had said no,and he said him and his colonists will not help them.In December 1826 there was a new flag over there old stone fort.He promised to help the Mexican soldiers into driving Edwards out of Texas. -
Law of April 6,1830
On April 6,1830 a new set of laws were posted. Rules: All immigration from the U.S would end. Border would close at the Sabine River. Land grants would be given out only to Mexican and European settlers. No new slaves would be brought to Texas. A tax, or custom duty,must be paid on all trade goods from the U.S. Soldiers would be sent into Texas to enforce these Laws. -

Turtle Bayou Resolution
On June 13, 1832, a group of Anglo-American settlers adopted a resolution called the Turtle Bayou Resolution. This stated that they were loyal to Mexico and were not rebelling. They declared that they were supporting Santa Anna who was a very popular leader trying to overthrow Anastasio Bustamante. -
Battle of Gonzales
The battle of Gonzales happened because Mexico gave Texas a cannon to protect themselves from the native american cultures. Mexico wanted it back because they were afraid that the Texas people would end up using the cannon on them. -
Siege of the Alamo
William B. Travis was in charge. Mexican force had the advantage of 2,00 men. It had lasted for 13 days. Juan Seguin was a scout and in charge of getting reinforcements and being a scout he never returned with more men for the battle. -
Declaration of Independence
Battle of the Alamo happened right before this event. The government decided to declare independence from Mexico. George C. Childress he wrote the declaration of Independence on March 2,1836. We copied the U.S declaration. After complaining we declare Texas a free and independent republic. -
Capture of San Antonio
it was in Frankfort Kentucky, American U.S. Mexico was overthrown by Santa Anna. Milan renounced his Mexican citizenship. He is apart of Texas now. There attack is unique because it is a sneak attack at 3:00 in the morning while everybody is asleep. The attack lasted 4 days.
