  • The seige of San Antonio

    The mexican troops retreated farther into San Antonio, and the Texans began a moth long seige of the city.
  • Consultation

    With the army of the people in San Antonio, delegates gathered at San Felipe for a meeting called the Consultation. The delegates met to decide what action the Texans should take. The meeting brgan on November 4,1835.
  • The battle of San Antonio

    Ben William rose atbthe meeting and asked,"who will go into San Antonio with old Ben William?"About 300 of the 500 men were ready to fight, and on December 5th they launched their attack.

    Certain that santa anna intended to kill all anglo americans in texas, many settlers abandoned their homes and fled. When word of the massacre at the alamo and at golliad reached anglo settlers, they gathered up their belongings and went east as quickly as they could.

    Santa anna decided that the texans should be shot.So the texans were marched back to goliad and were held for a week but then almost all of them were executed except for a handfull of them.
  • Battle of San Jacinto

    A skirmish developed between the mexican army and the texan cavalry.The major part of the battle took place on the afternoon of April 21.
