    The battle of Gonzales was the first battle of the Texas revolution. The Texians defended with a cannon that had a flag over it saying come and take it. The mexicans attacked because they wanted the small cannon away from civillian hands.

    Siege of San Antonio
    Stephen F. Austin led 600 men into San Antonio . A brief fight broke out close to Mission Concepcion . The mexicans retreated further into San Antonio . The texians began a month long siege of the city.

    Consultation
    This was a meeting that would show the fate of Texas. Some people wanted independence from Mexico while others wanted to remain loyal to it but fight in honor of the constitution. They adopted the Texas Declaration of Independence in this meeting.

    Ben Milam led 300-500 Texians into battle . After 5 days of battle General Martin Perfecto de Cos waved a white flag of surrender . He promised to never fight Texians again.

    This was the 2nd meeting of the consultation . The next day Texas was declared independent by the delegates . By the end of the next two weeks the Texas constitution was written

    1800 Mexican troops surrounded the Alamo. All 189 defending Texians died. Among the defenders were Davy Crockett ,William B. Travis ,and James Bowie.

    James W. Fannin lead his men to a prairie to rest 5 days after he was supposed. A little while after resting the mexican army found them . Fannin ordered his men to get in a square shape to defend from all angles. The Mexicans charged multiple times but the Texians repelled them . The next morning Fannin surrendered unconditionally.

    The Goliad Massacre
    After James W. Fannin unconditionally surrendered ,303 Texians were marched in 3 lines and shot at point blank range . 48 Texians survived . 20 of wich were saved by the interference of Senora Francisca Alvarez (also called the angel of Goliad)
