    E. Cortez founded New Spain and tore down Tenochtitlan

    Mission San Francisco Founded

    A. The purpose of the mission was to convert Native Americans to Catholics
    B. The people who lead the missions were fryers
    C. Spain was responsible for building the missions
    D. Missions were perching Catholism
    E. Most Missions were not successful

    Coronado sets out for Cibola

    A. Cibola is one of the Seven Cities of Gold
    B. Coronado thought Cibola was in Texas because he met a member of the Zuni tribe that was demanding to see Cibola
    C. No, they never found Cibloa
    D. They discovered the Grand Cayon
  • Fort St. Louis is founded

    A. Fort St. Louis is located in Texas
    B. Fort St. Louis was founded by La Salle
    C. Fort St. Louis failed because of Native American attacks which caused the French to abandon it.
    D. La Salle was killed by Pierre Duhaut while talking to his decoy, Jean L'Archevêque

  • Convention of 1833

    A. The goal of the convention of 1833 was to create laws and rights for when they became a country and discuss about attacks against Mexico
    B. SFA made the trip to Mexico City to present the resolutions.
  • Austin Arrested

    A. SFA was arrested because Mexico thought he was a spy for the United State
    B. Because of his arrest, SFA didn't want anymore to do with the Texas rebellion
  • Battle of Gonzales

    A. The Battle of Gonzales was fought over a small cannon that Mexico lended the Texans
    B. The Texans won
    C. The slogan "Come and get it!" was used in this battle

    A. A siege is a operation in which the military surrounds a town and cuts off all supplies
    B. Santa Anna controlled San Antonio before the siege
    C. The Texans controled San Antonio after the siege
  • Law of April 6, 1830 passes

    A. United States citizens couldn't come to Texas anymore, all empresario contracts from before the law were not valid anymore, Mexicans could come to Texas if they have a passport, Texans could not have anymore slaves, the Mexican goverment could use your land to build forts, and the Mexican goverment would be taxing you.

    A. The 2 documents that were made were the Texas Declaration of Independence and the Constitution
  • The Alamo Falls

    A. Three notable Alamo defender were Davy Crockett, James Bowie, and William Travis
    B. There were about 200 Texans and 1,500 Mexicans
    C. Sam Houston didn't send reninforcements because he told them to abandon it
    D. The Mexicans won the Battle of the Alamo
  • Goliad Massacre

    A. Finnin and his men lost the Battle of Coleto and were taken prisoner
    B. Santa Anna ordered that Urea execute Finnin and his men
    C. 342 men were executed that day
  • The Runaway Scrape

    A. Everyone was moving east toward Louisiana during the Runaway Scrape
    B. The goal was to burn down all the town on their way to slow down Santa Anna
    C. Everyone was running because they didn't want to be executed by Santa Anna
    D. People thought Sam Houston was a coward running from Santa Anna

    A. Two battle cries of the Texans were "Remember the Alamo!" and "Remember Goliad!"
    B. The Texans only lost 2 men while the Mexicans lost over 600 men
    C. Santa Anna tried to flee during the fight
    D. The Texans surely won the fight and got the right to Texas signed over by Santa Anna
