    Mexico came to claim a cannon given to the Texans and were met with resistance. This became the first battle in the Texas Revolution.

    A thirteen day siege that ended in a victory for Mexico. This battle was a turning point in the Texas Revolution with many men joining the revolution. "Remember the Alamo became a battle cry for the Texan soldiers.

    Final Battle of the Texas Revolution. Sam Houston and the Texas army defeated the Mexican army led by Santa Anna in a battle that took just 18 minutes. Santa Anna signed the peace treaty recognizing Texas' independence from Mexico.

    President James Polk annexed Texas into the United States, making it the 28th state.
