He sailed around the new world for a while and then decided to settle in Mexico City. Cornado led a exibition in to the United States.He was the govonerof the province of Nueva Galicia until his death on September 22 1554.

    La Salle
    Robert Cavalier, sieur de La Salle was well known as a fur trader. La Salle made his way down the Missippippi River taking all of its watershed and putting it under the name of France. A few years later the king of France kept sending shipd to the Missippippi and soon taking over the whole area. Some people went back to France but La Salle and other stayed and the Fort St.Louis as a settlement.

    Stephen Fuller Austion is known at the founder of Anglo- American Texas. In his early twentys he graduated from Transylvania University in Kentucky. He was the territorial Legislature of Missouri for six years until he moved to arkansas. Austin passed away not long after he went back to missouri from jis trip to texas.

    Hidalgo and his officers were planning a revolt for late fall of 1810.The Spanish people found out about the revolt which led the Spanish Government to order the arrest of Hidalgo and his officers. When Hidalgo found out, he called a meeting at his church. He rang the church bell on the night of September 15, 1824 to call his congregation to mass. Here Father Hidalgo rallied the people to fight. He gave the speech which is now known as 'Grito de Delores', saying "Viva Mexico".

Moses died before realizing his plans, Stephen took over and established Texas community on the lower reaches of the Colorado and Brazos Rivers. Later in decited to run for president and lost to Sam Houston so he became a secratery and he dired later that year in office.

    this battle was cosidered as the first battle of the Texas Revolution because the diferenced of Mexico and Texas became larger. Mexican genersals sent a force of about 100 men to repossess a cannon that had been provided the civilians of Gonzales for defense against Indians. The battle flag used by the Texans at the Battle of Gonzales gained considerable recognition as the "Come and Take It" flag.

  • Battle of Galveston

    In the fall of 1862, Union Commodore William B. Renshaw took a boat into Galveston and wanted the surrender of the island by its civilians. When arriving Houston Greneral Margruder started making plans to recapture Galveston. His plan worked and the island of Galveston was recaptured. Twenty-six Confederates had been killed and 117 wounded.
