    This is a battle with the Comanche Indians resulting in the Texans winning and pushing the Comanches further into the West.
  • Santa Fe Expedition

    Santa Fe Expedition
    Texans wanted the Rio Grande to be the border between Texas and Mexico. Texans also wated to control Santa Fe. President Lamar sent an expedition into Santa Fe to control the region and open up trade with New Mexico. The expedition eventually encountered Mexican soiliders, who took them prisoner. Many of them died, but if they lived they were released in April 1842.

    Sam Houston becomes president again when he beat Lamar's successor in the election. Note: month and day of the month aren't accurate.
  • Archives War

    Mexican soldiers were threatening Texas for a few days, but they withdrew eventually. However, it caused a panic in Texas, and President Houston wanted to move important archives from Austin to Houston. When the government tried to move the archives, some local residents fired on them. The skirmish ended with the archives remaining in the capital city of Austin. Note: day of the month not accurate.

    Germans
    German immigrants come to Texas. Note: month and day of month aren't accurate.
  • Mier Expedition

    Texans attacked the Mexican town of Mier, and they surrendered in December. They escaped in Febuary, but then they were recaptured. Santa Anna then had the captured Texans draw beans out of a jar. If a man drew a black bean, he was shot right then and there. If a man drew a white bean, his life was spared and he was sent to prison. Note: day of the month not accurate.
