  • Northern Securities Company

    In 1904, the Northern Securities Company was sued by Roosevelt's administration. The NSC lost the case and because of that, they had to separate into multiple different competitive companies rather than one large company owning the majority of all shares.
  • Hepburn Act

    The Hepburn Act was signed by Roosevelt in 1906 and was designed to allow the Interstate Commerce Commission to set a better price rate for railroads.
  • Davis Act of 1908

    The Davis Act of 1908 allowed the Nation Guard and military reserves to become more modern.
  • Archduke Franz Ferdinand

    On June 28, 1914, Franz was enjoying a motorcade with his wife when they take a wrong turn down an alleyway. this proves fatal as while they are attempting to leave the alley, Franz is shot and killed along with his wife. This assassination was the main reason for WW1 starting.
  • Declaration of War

    Austria Declared war on Serbia because Serbia did not meet all of their demands. Because of this, Russia began moving its forces to protect serbia.
  • Declaration of War

    Germany declared war on Russia to hopefully protect Austria. The reason for this is because a threat put on Tsar Nicholas II did not stop the Russians from advancing and therefore, causing Germany to protect their allies.
  • We Declare War

    On April 4, 1917, America declared war On Germany and officially entered the US into World War I. The reason for the US joining the war was to balance out the world powers. Wilson believed that if Germany won, then the world powers would be out of balance and cause chaos.
  • Presidency

    In early March 1921, Warren Harding became president. He achieved this status by winning the election with a significantly higher vote than the competition. He won the election by promising to them that they would return to normal; no more war, no more heroes.
