    He was Italian, worked for Spain ha lands on San Salvador. He claimed the territory for Spain. Went several times. Was arrested and banned from thenw world.

    Cortez

    Cortez
    He was Sanish conquistador landed in Mexico. He met and conquard the Aztecs. Renamed their capital New Mexico. Would be capital of Spain.

    Mapped the coast of Texas.

    Cabeza De Vaca

    Shipwrecked in Galveston. Malhado Met and lived with the Korankawa. Returned to Mexico years later with stories of good land and treasures.

    Coronada

    The first to see Palo Duro and Grand Canyon, exxplored much of the Texas panhandle, Spanish, was sent to find Cibola.
  • LaSalle

    He was French, sailed all the way from Canada, down the Mississsippi River, to the Gulf of Mexico. He called the area Louisiana he landed in Texas, Built Ft, St. Louis. The fort failed and LaSalle was killed by his men.

  • Adams-Onis Treaty

    The Untied States and Spain signed the Adams-Onis Treaty ending there disputes. Sain gave the US Florida and the US surrendered all claims to Texas.
