    The First Russian king of Poland from 1815-1825. Also the first Russion grand duk of Finland and Lithuania. Conduct became more Arbitrary which led to the revocation of many earlier reforms. Ruled during chaotic period. He also died a sudden death. Rumors have it that he did not die but chose to live the rest of his life in anonymity

  • Nicholas 1

    Emperor of Russia. Known as one of the most reactionary of the Russian Monarchs. Approved Imperial Chancellery. Nicholas acted as the protecter of ruling legitimism and as guardian against revolution. He died in 1855 in Crimean War.
  • Alexander ii

    Agreed to liberal reforms. He also issued royal decree that required emancipation or freeing the serfs. Elected assemblies called Zemstovos which were responsible for road repair, schools, and agriculture. Mostly everything failed. People were not satisfied and the king moved away from reform and toward repression.
  • Alexander iii

    King of Russia. Signed ukaz creating consultative comissions to advise the monarch. He was strict like Nicholas i. and he wanted to wpe out revolutionaries and liberals. He insisted on one language which was russian and on one church which was Russian orthodox church. He was assinated in 1894
  • Nicholas ii

    He was known as bloody Nicholas because Khodynka tragedy, bloody sunday, and anti semitic programs. Under his rule Russia was defeated in the Russo-Japanese war. He is also reffered to as saint Nicholas the martyr. He also approved Russian mobilization which marked Russias involvement in World War One.

    Fearing Marchers the king fled his palace and called his soldiers. Troops started shooting people. A lot of shots left hundreds dead or wounded in the snow. Bloody sunday killed people faith nd trust in the king
  • Revolution of 1905

    In some cities workers took over local governments. Everyone revolted to try to get what they wanted and/or needed.Nicholas was forced to announce sweeping reforms. He agreed to summon a duma or elected national legislature.
