In order to engage your readers in your story, come up with a creative sentence starter/paragraph to hook them into your narrative.

After you have grabbed your readers attention, you want to talk about where the story begins. This often includes the development of the protagonist and setting the scene for the story. Where does the story take place? How does it start? Who is there?

This is where the story starts to pick up-- what is happening? What is the first event of the story after it starts? This often involves some sort of problem or defining event.

The climax is when the rising action has reached its peak. This often involves a change in the characters or a solution to the problem at hand. It is typically the turning point in the story.

This is also known as the "resolution." This is when the conflict is solved or explains the reactions or consequences of the climactic event.

This is where the story is all tied together. Within the ending, we should see some sort of change in the character at hand or we should be taught some sort of lesson or given some sort of message.
