    Nicholas II crowned czar of Russia
    Nicholas II wasn't trained to be the ruler of Russia. So this didn't help with the growth and peace of it. He was crowned after the death of his father Alexander III in November 1894. After mourning for a while he and Alexandra were crowned in 1896 as Czar and Czarina.

    Bloody Sunday in St. Petersburg begins the 1905 Russian Revolution
    Russia was on its way to losing the war with Japan it was full of discontent and it explodes into a bloody massacre. Russia was under the weak rule of Nicholas II at the time and he didn't worry about the massacre, only his bloodline since his only son was sick. Russia was becoming more and more corrupt with him ruling, so Vladimir Lenin grouped up a group of socialist to create a rebellion against the czar.

    The main reason why WW1 was started was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand at Sarajevo on 28 June 1914. Historians on the other hand thought that there were many other factors between great powers that contributed to the war. Great Britain, France,and Russia made up the Allies, and Germany and Austria-Hungary were called the Central Powers. Since there were two groups of allied countries, whenever there was a conflict between two countries their allies would have to fight with them.

    The workers went on strike because they didn't like the way they were being treated by their bosses. Since they did all the work and got nothing for it they got angry and demanded to get more from it. The people were so into the protests that they pushed aside police and refused to leave the streets until they got what they wanted.

    Nicholas wasn't trained for the job of the Czar. He couldn't deal with the pressure so people forced him to abdicate. Later him and his family were gunned down by the Yekaterinburg Soviet forces.

    after he came back from exile he continued in his revolutionary activity. in 1902 he published a pamphlet called "What is to Be Done?" He met with many Marxists in London and established the Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party (RSDWP).

    The BMO committee went out into the streets to protest the rights of the working class. Both Trotsky and Zinoviev eagerly argued for the street protests to stay peaceful. The BMO agreed to their argument and made troops go out into the streets. Soon the committee called off the protests since they weren't really making a difference.

    The Russian Revolution was fought to see who could rule Russia. During this time a cluster of anti-Bolshevik groups, dubbed the Whites, fought to remove the Bolsheviks from power and restore some elements of the old order. Other groups the weren't in the whites or bolshevik groups, were fighting for their independence.

    There were two reasons why Russia withdrew from WW1. There was a military reversal, and russia had a bunch of internal disorder and political changes caused by the Bolshevik Revolution of October 1917. Russia wasn't strong enough to fight for long.

    The october revolution was also called the bolshevik revolution. the government was weak from the aftermath of the February Revolution so russia was ruled by the provisional government and the Petrograd Soviet. Lenin wanted to take full control over russia so he led a coup to take over the provisional government.

    The capital of Russia is changed from St. Petersburg to Moscow
    St. petersburg was a city with many split beliefs and views of how the government should rule. There were many different groups that split the city. So the city was unsafe for the government to stay in. It was easy to lose or gain control in that city, plus it was a main trading post, so foreigners would come in and make alliances with different groups. The government had to move to Moscow where the views were more similar and it was easier to keep safe and control.

    after Lenin gained control of the Russian government the parties wanted more professional names. Lenin didn't want to change the name. Soon the members had too many differences. They boycotted from votes and other government activities, but their efforts didn't matter. After that Lenin decided to change the bolsheviks to The Russian Communist Party and suppressed all rival political organizations.

    The Romanov family was executed by the Bolsheviks. This brought the end to the three-century-old Romanov dynasty. The family and their servants were ordered to dress quickly and go down to the cellar of the house they lived in, they were told there was a picture being taken of them, but as soon as they were put into the rows, armed men ran in and gunned them all down. Those who were still breathing were stabbed to death.

    There were a lot of casualties. The war went on a little longer by small groups that killed anyone that wasn't Russian. And still after that there were so many people killed.

    The second stroke was the same year as the first one. After this stroke he thought of how the new government would go once he's gone. He wrote a Testament about how full of regret he was about his past.

    This union was the the successor of the Russian Empire. It is the first country to be based on the Marxist socialism. The soviet union was dissolved following the collapse of the communist government.
  • Lenin dies

    Lenin dies
    Lenin had died of a massive cerebral hemorrhage. The news came out with great grieving. After his death the government collapsed. Lenin suffered three strokes before he died. After the third he became mute.
