This event took plac e in Imperial Russia. Russian Army officersled about 3,000 soldiers so they could protest against Nicholas I's assumption of the throne. Since these events occured in December the people who were fighting against Nicholas got named Decembrist. This event took place in Peters Square in St. Petersburg.

He never wanted to be a czar, and when he became one nobody liked him. He was named Bloody Nicholas after Bloody Sunday. Under his rule Russia also the the Russian- Japanese war, even though they had way more people fighting.
