    The Communist party was the predicate of the USSR. This party was formed by the Bolshevik lead Lenin.
  • WWI Begins

    WWI Begins
    The beginning of WWI was a special one. The assisnation of Prince Archduke Franz Ferdinand by a dude eating a sandwhich started WWI. In addition to this, the became on of the bloodiest war in history.
  • Rasputin is Assasinated

    Rasputin is Assasinated
    After mulitple attemps in trying to kill Rasputin, he was finally assasinated on December 30, 1916. He was known for his "magical healing powers."

    Lenin sparked the Bolshevik revolution in 1917. He eventually took power in 1917 and became the first non-dictator of the USSR.

    This is when the Czar willingly steps down from the throne. Though this will not be enough for the people of Russia, he did willingly step down.
  • February Revolution

    As the people of Russia lose hope in their government tempers start to flair. As the Russians learn that industrialized Germany is much more powerful than them they also realize that their economy is falling due to the war effort a revolution is had by the factory workers of Russia. The revolution was ironically not in February.

    The same with the February revolution, this revolution did not occur in October it occured in November. This was the final revolution of the year.

    This occured directly after the revolution. There was up to 12 million casualties and people say that this was the biggest catastrophes in European history.

    In March 1918, Russia signed a treaty with Germany to end their involvement in WWI. Russia lost a large portion of territory to Germany in the treaty.

    The Soviet Union started after the Russian revolution's. Stalin was the first dictator of the USSR and quickly devolped in to a world power.

    Stalin becomes First Dictatory of USSR
    Joseph Stalin was known for his violent rule as well as for the deaths of millions during his reign. Under Stalin the USSR was transformed from a peasant society to one with industrial and military power.
