    Bloody Sunday
    200,000 workers and families gathered around the czar's Winter Palace in St. Petersburg to carry petitions for better work conditions. Nicholas Ill's general ordered to fire at the crowd, killing 100 people and 1,000 were wounded. In the wider scheme of the war, freedom was promised as an outcome.

    Nicholas II dragged Russia into war not considering how poor equipped, weak, and financially unprepared for war. In all, the German's defeated Russia, and caused 4 million soldiers to be killed or wounded. In the wider theme of the war, this revealed the weakness of the Czarist rule and military leadership.

    Bolshevik Revolution
    The Bolshevik gained the power of the Petrograd Soviet, as well as the Bolshevik red guards took over the government offices. From there they distributed farmland and gave the control of the factories to the workers instead of their bosses. In the theme of the war, they stopped fighting with Germany, and eventually signed the Treaty of Brest Litovsk.

    The Germans believed Lenin would stir unrest in Russia, and hurt the Russian War effort. They arranged for him to return to Russia after many years of exile. In the bigger theme, Lenin was smart and would possibly help them out

    Protest exploded into general uprising, which is known as the March Revolution. People forced Czar to step down from throne, and a year later his family was executed. In the theme of the war, the Revolution succeeded in removing the Czar, but not in gaining a strong government

    Without warning armed factory workers stormed into the Winter Palace. They took over the government offices and arrested most of the leaders of the Provisional Government. This event played a bigger role in the war because it was not good for the Russians, which ended in not doing good in the war

    The Russians began to stomp out their enemies at home, while their opponents formed the White Army. The White Army consisted of different groups. In the theme of the war, the USA sent people to help Russia, but were still short of help.
