  • Michael Romanov becomes the first Romanov ruler

  • Nicholas I becomes the ruler of Russia

    To maintain power, Nicholas I created multiple commities below him and chose not to create basic reforms because he wanted to remain the sole ruler of Russia.
  • Alexander II becomes the ruler of Russia

    During his rule, he emancipated the serfs in 1861. After this important event during his rule, in 1866, he was assasinated.
  • Vladimir Lenin is born.

    Lenin was born in Ulyanovsk, Russia. In 1887, Lenin's brother was arrested and executed for planning to assassinate Emperor Alexander III. This made him oppose politics.
  • Nicholas II becomes the Czar of Russia

    Czar Nicholas II is the last Romanov ruler(czar) of Russia. Nicholas II abdicated in 1917 because the Russian people did not trust him. 80% of the population were poor serfs and living conditions were very bad. Also, Russia had just entered WW1, which was a disputed choice and had cost Russia a large amount of money. The Russians felt that they could not trust Nicholas II anymore, so he abdicated.
