Two unseccsusful uprisings that were made up of previous military people. The Northern Society took advantage of the confusing times after the death of the Tsar Alexandar I. They wanted Constantine instead of Nicolas I to rule. The second uprising was in the South, and this was also handdled quickley. It was being held by the Chernigov Regiment. There was a trial for 289 of the Chernigov, 5 exicutions, 31 impresenments, and the rest were sent to Sibera.
