    Russain army officers led about 3,000 soldiers in a protest about Nicholas I's. The reason it was called the decembrist revolt is because it was in december. in 1825, the was named the decembrist square. But in 2008 they changed it back to the orginal name. (senate square)

Nicholas appoved the Russian mobiisatio, which marked the start of russia's involvement in the first world war. 3.3 million people were killed in this war.

    1905 the bloody massacre occured demonstrators marched toward the palace. After that they moved and only used the palace for special occasions. later that year "red" soldiers stormed the palace.

Two of the protesters were run down by the army vehicies. Nicholas was called bloody Nicholas. His son had a life treatning disease. Nicholas also Russia into world war 1.
