Russian Revolution

  • The Decembrist Revolt

    In 1825 a small group of nobles and army officers tried to overthrow czar Nicholas I.
  • Nicholas II becomes czar of Russia

    Nicholas II started ruling on Novemer 1, 1894. Nicholas II was the ruler of the worlds biggest economic and military collapse. Nicholas II was also defeted in the Russo-Japanese war.
  • The Russo-Japanese War

    The Russo-Japanese War was fought over a warm water port for both countries navy and trade. Japan started the war after saying no to Russia's idea of a neutral zone. The Russians lost terrribly.
  • Bloody Sunday

    Bloody Sunday took place in St. Petersburg. Unarmed Russians marcged throuh St. Petersburg to get czar Nicholas II to sign a petition about working conditions and the Imperial Guard shot at people in the crowd.
  • World War I

    Russia entered the war and was fighting the Germans. Russia had the biggest airforce and army but was under equipped and had bad railroads to transport their troops.
  • Czar Nicholas II abdicates the Russian throne

    Czar Nicholas II was the ruler of Russia from 1894-1917. Czar Nicholas was forced to Abdicate the throne and a government was put in his place.
  • The March Revolution

    The March Revolution was a revolution in Petrograd. The Imperial Parliament thought they had control of the country and formed the Russian Provisional Government.
  • Russian Civil War

    The Russian Civil War begun in November of 1922. The war was between the Reds or Bolsheviks and the Whites or south Russians. The White army lost and the Bolsheviks made Ruasia a socialist country.
  • The creation of the U.S.S.R.

    The treaty of the USSR was approved on december 29, 1922. The document was signed by the heads of delegations.
  • Vladimir Lenin’s Death

    Vladimir Lenin was apart of the Russian revolution and overthrough the last czar of Russia. When Lenin died the Russian empire was replaced with the Soviet Union.The people of Russia like Lenin so much they put him ynder glass in Moscow.
