Marxists Revolutionaries split
Marxists revolutionaries disagree over revolutionary tactics. The more radical Bolsheviks are ready to risk everything. The charismatic Vladimir Lenin becomes the leader. -
Russian and Japanese war
This war between Russia and the Japanese was started in February of 1904. The main cause of these wars were over rival imperial ambitions. The main fighting was around the surrounding seas of Korea, southern manchuria, and the yellow sea. Russia lost most of these battles and these losses fueled the slowly boiling the Russian revolution. -
Russian Massacre
By this point the country of Russia was very corrupt and while on the way to a another losing war with Japan the community was not very happy with the way they were living and went to the winter palace to make their demands when imperial forces fired and killed hundreds of the demonstrators causing later internal conflict for the next 10 years and added more to the upcoming revolution. -
First Duma
The first duma was created due to the clash of parties the Socialist Revolutionary party and the Constitutional Democrats and the entire thing was completed in a mere six months. Making new civil liberty and helped pave the way for a new alternative makeup for the second Duma. -
Battle of Tannenberg
This battle was an engagement between Russia and Germany during the first month of world war one. This battle resulted in almost complete destruction of the Russian second army and the suicide of the commanding general, Alexander Samsonov. -
Russian Revolution
A collective term of revolutions in Russia which dismantled the tsarist autocracy and led to the creation of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. The Emperor was forced to abdicate and the old regime was replaced by a provisional government. -
Russian Government
By this point in history Russia agreed to try to pull Russia out of war and promised land to the peasants. Also it was the end of the Russian Republic and dual power and the start of Russian Civil War. All of the congress of Soviets becomes most of the supreme governing body. -
Polish - Soviet War
War between the Polish and the Soviets broke out when they both started fighting over the area which would be today’s Ukraine and part of Belarus. This threatened the Polish existence, however a treaty was signed ending the war. -
Kronstadt Rebellion
This was a very unsuccessful rebellion against the the Bolsheviks in the later years of the Russian Civil war, Consisting of Russian sailors, soldiers, and civilians with over one thousand in the first assault and about 1200 executed. In the second assault 527 to 1412 died. The people who rebelled just wanted to implement the New Economic Policy (NEP) -
Russian Treaty
This treaty was signed on december 30th of 1922 founding the union of soviet socialist republics which made Russia one of the world’s superpowers for another seventy years. -
Treaty of Brest-Litovsk
This treaty was a peace treaty signed on march 3rd 1918 between the new Bolshevik government of Russia and the central powers (Germany,Austria,Hungary, and Turkey this also ended the participation of Russia in world war one.
