The February Revolutions begins with strikes, demostrations and mutines in Petrograd. -
Tsar Nicholas II abdicates. Tsar's brothers Mikhail refuse to take the throne so a Provisional goverment is formed.

Lenin returns from exile and arrives in Petrograd via sealed train. April These is written after Lenin comes back with promoting his new idea "Peace, Land, Bread."

July 3rd - 7th
The July days begin in Petrograd with a apotanious protest against the provisional government and Lenin is force into hiding. -
In the October Revolution, the Bolshevik party, led by Vladimir Lenin, and the workers' Soviets, overthrew the Provisional Government in St Petersburg. The Bolsheviks appointed themselves as leaders of various government ministries and seized control of the countryside.

When Lenin died this cause a power stuggle between contenders.

Stalin introduced the Five Year Plans. This brought all industry under state control and all industrial development was planned by the state. The state would decide what would be produced, how much would be produced and where it should be produced. An organisation called Gosplan was created to plan all this out.
