    The second triumvirate started off with Marc Anthony meeting a girl name Cleopatra.Cleopatra and marc anthony started dating.Cleopatra formed an allance so Marc anthony started to fight with Octavian.Octavian defeated marc anthony so then octavian now got called Aguatus Caeser. Agustus became the first emeror of Rome.

    Agustus Caeser turned Rome Into a Republic to an Empire. When Agustus was empior he expanded the empior. He also improved the road systems so more people could trade. Now that the road systems were improved there was more exporting than importing wich made him wealther.Pax Romana was the time of peace. It was brout by the ability to rule others and maintain their athority through an efficient government.

    Marcus Aurelius ruled from 161 B.C.E to 180 B.C.E. Marcus unified the Roman empire and used all the same currency. He spent the majority of his time putting down rebellions and fitting off invasions. As you can tell Marcus was an active leader! He chose his sone Commodus to follow his footsteps and become emperor as well.

    Commodus was the son of Marcus Aurelius and he ruled from 180 C.E to 192 C.E. They were the total opposite. Commodus was more interested in socolizing and spent his money on entertainment and he didnt even support the military.On the other hand Marcus was always fighting off invations. Commodus allowed other people help him run the empire. When Commodus was assasinated on December 31, 192 C.E Rome fell into 50 years of decline and civil wars.

    Nero wasnt a nice man. First of all Nero set Rome on fire and blamded it on the Christians. His reason for blaming the christians was because Christian was the new religion at that time so no one really knew anout them so they all thought Nero was telling the truth. Nero also like to just spend money all the time. The fall of Rome was lead by weak rulers, seriouse economic problems, a low population and Mercenary army wich are paid firgien soldiers that were not loyal, they just wanted money.

    Constantine ruled from 306 C.E to 337 C.E. One day Constantine say a sign in the sky that ment "under this sign you will conquor". All soldiers marked their sheild with the sign. He reunited the empire and was victorious. He also converted the religion to Christian. In 313 C.E he granted freedom to worship freely. Then in 330 C.E he moved the capitol of Rome to Bysantium. Then after that he changed the city name to Constantinople and Constantine also then moved the capitol to the wealthy side.

    When constantine died invaders attacked the empire. IN the 400's C.E the empire could not hold off any invaders. In 410 C.E the visigoths captured and looted Rome. When they looted Rome thay took money and valuable items. Then in 455 C.E the Vandles left rome completly powerless. Finally in 476 C.E the Ostrogoths led to the final collapse of Rome. The western side falls. After western side fell the eastern side stayed strong and Constantinople became capitol of Byzantium.

    This date is known as the Ides of March. Before Julius's assasination he was elected dictator wich ment he had control over Rome. When the people of Rome found out that Julius was dictator civil wars broke out. Octavian was victorious.

    The romans coeded there laws and called them the twelve tables. They accused people to be innocent until proven giulty. They also accussed to premitt to face the accuser and offer a defence. If someone was proven giulty it had to be determined by evidence. All the laws were forced to be fair and equal. The first published known code of law was in 450 B.C.E

    Diocletian
    Diocletian split the Roman Empire into two parts. The two parts were western and easern Rome. Diocletian obviously ruled the eastern side because it was the wealthy side. In this time period there was four rulers. Four rulers were known as a tetcharchy. The tetcharchy doubled the size of the army, and improved the structure of taxes. Diocletian took steps to stop the economic decline of empire. Finally Diocletian gave up his power in 305 C.E.
