There was a fire that led to Hitler gaining power. No one knows who set the fire. Hitler asked Hindenburg to invoke an Article that authorized the president to rule by decree. This gave the Nazis more power and Hitler then could remove political opponents.

Austria had it's own Nazi group. The Austrian chancellor wanted Austrian independence. Hitler said the vote was rigged and he would invade them. Hitler then joined Austria and Germany under one government.

Hitler claimed that Germans were being persecuted by Czechs. British Prime minister met with Hitler three times where at the first one, he agreed to Hitler's demands. At the second one, Hitler asked for access to the Sudeten region. At the third one, they signed an agreement that approved the Nazis takeover as long as he doesn't take over more than he agreed to.
