    Thules SocietyIn 1917, no one would think that a group of unemployed soldiers would soon rise and become the legal government of Germany by 1933. This group was named the Thules Society, and was a gang of Germans who were anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, and very racist. This new society, often referred to as the Nazi party, wanted to exterminate all contaminating factors of the human race and believed that Jews were the sole cause of an impure and tainted race.

    The Rise of Nazism started in 1918 and ended in 1933-1934. The Nazi promise was to restore Germany's honor and glory struck a powerful chord. Hitler said he wanted to bring back the "work and bread".

The politicians and military leaders who were responsible for Germany's downfall claimed that Germany had been backstabbed by its politicians, which were communists and Jews. Much of Germany was hungry and living in poverty at this point. Times like these give people a reason to be racist against one another.

The Treaty of Versailles declared that Germany be disarmed and forced to pay reparations to France and Britian for the huge costs of the war. The German Worker's party created a right-wing idealology for the Nazis. Adolf Hitler joined this small political party, and through his emotional and captivating speeches he rose to leadership in 1919. By the end of 1920, the Nazi Party had about 3,000 members. A year later Hitler became its official leader.

Hitler was sentenced to jail and was charged with high treason along with other reasons. Hitler used the public court to get his publicity very high. After the 24 hour trial Hitler actually gained support. He was eventually sentenced to 5 years in prison. He had a good chance of having early parole.

    sThe Nazi Party began building a massive movement. In 1925, their were about 27,000 members in the Nazi Party. This number increased to 108,000 by 1927. The Nazi Party had failed to install inroads in cities, which gave it poor election results in 1928. They shifted their strategy to more rural small town areas, where they condemned Jewish department stores. By this time, the Nazi Party were mostly young men of the lower middle class.

This book became the base foundation for all of the racist beliefs and practices of the Nazi Party. When he left prison, Hitler started rebuilding the Nazi Party. He was the sole leader of the Nazi Party, and all final decision making was chose by him. Hitler wanted to make a bureaucracy of the future state.

While arguing about the rising cost of unemployment benefits, the Great Coalition government collapsed. President Hindenburg's advisers persuaded him to call forth Germany's emergency presidential powers. These powers allowed the president to create a new government called the Weimar Democracy. In this, the Nazi Party won 18%, making it the second largest party in Reichstag.

At the age of 84, he did not want to serve again, but he knew if he didn’t then Hitler would win the election. Hindenburg's won the election, and Hitler only won 37% of the election. For the next months the German party had gained the Reichstag seats thanks to the propaganda campaign. After all, Hindenburg's eventually resigned.
