    The panama canal was created so Americans and business man could ship cargo quickly and cheap between the atlmtic and pacific casts. Teddy R. ranged a deal with the Panamanian rebels to make them an independent country in return for a 10 mile strip of rainforest. Construction took 10 years to complete costing 400 million. Also thousands of lives were lost due to many illness.

    -Roosevelt barred countries from using force to collect debts. Roosevelt Corollary to Monroe Doc warned the disorders in Latin American might force the U.S to exercise an international plice power
    -Purpose; The Monroe doctrine demanded that European countries stay out of the affairs of Latin American nations, the Corollary did not allow to collect debt or money
