    Battle of the Alamo

    Santa Ana and his troops entered San Antonio for a siege that lasted 13 days. It ended when the Mexican army stormed the Texan soldiers held up in the Alamo. Santa Ana ordered the execution of all surviving soldiers and the burning of their bodies. Roughly 180 American men were lost in this battle. Important figures involved in the battle were commanders Travis, Bowie, and Crocket.

    Commanche war party headed by Buffalo Hump traveled through Texas, stealing, raiding, and killing settlers, and burning down villages. In an area known as Lock Heart Texas, a battle ensued between the Comanches, the Texan Republic soldiers, and the Indians of the Tonkawa tribe. Resulting in an ultimate victory against the Commanche tribe.
