In October 1835 the Texas Revolution begun. This was a revolution lead by American-born residents of Mexican people. Rebelling against the Mexican government to make Texan an independent republic.

February of 1836, The Mexican army approached the Texan militia (The Alamo) and the Texans were out numbered but held their ground for a while till the Mexican army killed nearly everyone inisde the Alamo.

On April 20, Sam Houston led his army to the San Jacinto River where the Mexican army was camped at. Then on April 21st he ordered the attack on the Mexican bases and the battle lasted 18 minutes with the Texan military beating the Mexican army. For the final ending Sam Houston captured Santa Anna on April 22.

Lamar became the Second President of Texas in 1838

Battle of Neches was fought on July 15-16, 1839. This was a battle that Lamar took charge of and wanted to kick the Cherokee Indians out of Texas. They ended up winning the war in two days and fled to the Indian Territory.

Right before Lamar's End of Presidency he sent out a group of military to secure the Northern New Mexico for Texas.

Lamar ended his term as president in 1841.

Rafael Vasquez march into San Antonio on March 5, 1842. Colonel Mathew Caldwell led the Texan military into victory over the Mexican Army.

New York made a Treaty to announce that Texas as Annexed

The new Texas constitution secured voter approval in October elections and was accepted by the US Congress in December 1845.

On December 29 in 1845 U.S. annexed Texas as a slave state.
