The first few Radios made were not wireless, they had to plug them into an outlet for them to work and that was their energy soruce. They also did not start out with antenias and the radios were made for communication over seas in case they needed help. -

The Wireless radio was first created by Guglielmo Marconi, and they were about to go other places with their radio than just sit with it in one spot. -
Commuinication
During the World War I the radio was like their lifeline to survive and they could communicate for help and contact the people they needed. This shows how important the radio is and was. All of trhe leaders and others were able to voice their opinons and fight on what they believed in. The radios were also made out of wood not like the other materials that we have today. -
The Rush
During this time period people rushed to get a radio because they wanted to hear their favorite music, news and sports on the radio, Everyone wanted one. -
Getting better
The people designing the radios stsrted making better antennas for better signal and they were making them better and improved. They also started making personal radios which was a good thing because they were easy to carry instead of something huge. In some radios they also started installing record players which was also something great because not everyone wanted to listen to the radio and it also made peoplr later on in life discover cd's and cassete players. -

During this time period more name brand radios started to come out and also they added a clock/alarm clock on the radio. This was a big invention because it gave people a better reason to use it and another reason to start buying radios. Around this period they started making the clocks out of material other than wood. -

When this period came around everything was starting to get advanced and the clocks and the radio stations were starting to go digital because the technology was becoming bigger. Also around this time cassete players and CD players were installed because it gave people more than one option to listen to music. This made buyers want to buy more and the sales started going up. -
Future
In todays time and in the future i think that most people will stop using radios and swith to cell phones or other portable music things that are small and that are easy to carry. Also you can get more music and look up what songs you want to hear and the devices are more advanced and people today and in the future love technology and flashy things.
