Joining and Winning
As Grade 4, public speech competition at young age is a nerve wrecking experience. Industry vs Inferiority: You feel the inferiority by being scared for your firs time experience, memorizing long lines, fear of crowd & the competition: you win or lose. But you also have a determination to bring pride and honor for your family (especially if your participation is because of your parent), hence you strive to bring out your best, (industry) and when you win, you are happy as you overcome your fear. -
College dream
Pursuing your college dream is a tough decision making. It is falling on Erikson's stage of Identity vs Identity Confusion. Choosing a course, university/college and place is challenging and stressful to young adloscent stage. Few factors to consider: Are you ready to move into the big city life coming from a rural place? How to finance it? Who will finance your tuition, are you able to get scholarships? Is this the career you like or this is inlfuence by a parent? -
Back to school
Going back to school on your 40's is another big decision in life to take. This decision is seen in Erikson's Generativity vs Stagnation. There's a point of time that you assess your current status in your personal life and career. Are you satisfied doing same thing over and over again until your retirement? Or you seek for more knowledge and for better opportunities? This is just but a few questions, and the answer is YES, I'll go back to school!
