Sensorimotor Stage
This stage is from ages birth-2 years old.The primary objective of the Sensorimotor stage is to get object permanence. You also start walking in this stage. As I went through this stage I was quick to achieve object permanence my mom says she can't remember when peek-a-boo stopped working, but my dad said It didn't work for long compared to my brother. I also was a very determined walker and didn't struggle to pick it up. Once I started walking my parents both say I was always on the go. -
Preoperational Stage
This stage is from ages 2-7 years old. During this stage Animism starts happening were we use toys to make up imginary games. Also conservation is struggled with becuase you don't have enough Schemas, which is why I called all my stuffed animals Lamby. I didn't play lots of illogical games. I always wanted to play family or doctor. I was very Egocentric which is another defining part of this stage. I was always ready to strike a pose on camera, and I never did anything wrong. -
Concrete Operations Stage
This stage is from ages 7-12 years old. In this stage we start to multitask, and think less about our POV and start to take other's POV into consideration. We start to apply real life understanding to our games. I always wanted to play family on the play ground with my school friends. We start to try and figure things out on our own. I loved to make my own breakfast, and was very Independent my mom said. She liked to problem solve for me, but my dad always wanted me to do it myself. -
Formal Operations Stage
This stage is from ages 12+. During this stage we can now apply conservation and reversibility to real life situations. I have always struggled in Math, so reversibility was a concept I lacked in understanding. We also develope the ideas of cause and effect. I would antagonize my little bother, then quickly bribe him to not tell because I knew my parents would get mad at me. This year I have really solidified my beliefs as I start to get more exposed to an uncensored world.
