  • Fredonian Rebellion

    Fredonian Rebellion
    Haden and Ben Edwards took over a building and rose the flag but had no support. The Mexican gov ran them out. The U.S. exaggerated the support of the rebellion.
  • Meiry Teran Expedition

    Meir y Teran was a Mexican general who wa sassigned to the Fredonian inspect TX after the Frdonian Rebellion. Meir y Teran also suggested Mexico to increase Texas control.
  • The Guerrero Decree

    Vicente R Guerrero issues a decree abolishing slavery. Guerrero may have acted under the influence of Jose Maria Tomal
    who hoped the decree would be a check on American immigration.
  • Law of April 6,1830

    The law of April 6,1830 was passed in mexican Texas part of the border state of Coahuila was in danger of being annexed by the United states.The mexican families will get transportation for one year.Americans couldn't more back and forward.You cannot bring more slaves in the state.

    The convention of 1832 was when texas asked mexico to become there own state. They only wanted to be called to Texas not anything else. Texas wanted there own goverment. They wanted U.S. Immigrants to be allowed to migrate in to Texas.

    Santa Anna helped to remove Bustemente from being president and he was elected on January 3, 1833.

  • Stephen F. Austin arrested

    Stephen F. Austin had traveled to Mexico City to present it to the government along with a list of other demands. Austin conceded to the will of the people ,but President Santa Anna refused to grant Texas separate status from Coahuila and threw Austin in prison.
  • Santa Anna Rejects the Constitution of 1824

    Santa Anna dissolves the Mexican Congress and gives himself supreme power. Santa Anna is now dictator of Mexico.
  • The Consultation

    Delagates met at San Felipe to decide how to handle Santa Anna's abuse of power. Eventually, this group would decide to declare independence and go to war with Mexico.
