    On July 30, 1898 bismarck died in Friedrichsruh, Germany. Bismarck was eighty-three years old when he died. After the death of his wife a few years earlier Bismarck lived out his final years bored, pessimistic, and resentful. Inscripted on bismarck's tombstone is "A true servant of the Emperor William the First." Even though Bismarck died 115 years ago his legacy lives on.
