The jewish people herd that germany was finally going to be defeated by the red army and they thought hittler could never harm them. This later in the year is proven wrong when the jewish people have to move to gettos. -

Elie and a young girl work together at the depot. This young girl is french and she can't talk in the jewish language. She eventualy will help elie out when he is beaten by Ideki. -
elie's dad
His dad during roll call spoke and the ss oficer told him to be quiet but he didnt here him and he spoke agian and th ss officer hit elie's dad in the face with a club.Elie remeber d his dads broken and bloody face. -
People dieing
In these concentration camps it wasnt uncomon for people to die. On this date somebody in one of the bunks died during the night and they took his bodie to the crematory. In this date elies dad dies and elie is upset but he can't cry. he wants too but he is out of tears and he is now empty inside. -
Late for roll call.
The ss oficers were late to roll call. Something had happend in the front they were late. The loud speakers came on for people to meet in the Appelplaz. This was a trap for those that went because they got shot and killed. -
Freedom at Last
The ss had fled from the attack on the camp and the first american tank was at the gates of the camp. The people then were freed.
