Did Napoleon stay true to the ideas of a revolution? in my opinion he tried to at first but then realized that having absolute power was better for himself. So he started getting rid of the ideas that he didn't like or would limit his own power. Many revolutinaries may have thought that hte ideas that he was implementing were wrong but after the revolution and the Reign of Terror, many did noy want to stand in the way and face death.
