    Arrive at Dublin Airport. After a lengthy wait in the cutoms line we were passed through and were able to claim our luggage! By the time we had gotten our luggage Wynn ahd arrived with her group.
  • Dubliin to Kilkenny

    After a few laps around some roundabouts we were on our way south to Kilkenny. It took a little bit of time to adjust to driving a stick on the left side of the road, but we managed to arrive in one piece. Kilkenny is a midevil town with narrow upper and lower streets with charming alleys connecting the two. It has an intact castle, charming shops and fun restaurants and pubs. We spent the afternoon touring he castle and town. We spent the night in a charnming guest house.

    Left Kilkenny and drove to Cobh...formerly Queenstown. Cobh was the gateway to America for many Irish immigrants. My grandmother passed left for Amreica from this port.

    Located on the western coast of Ireland the Cliffs of Moher are the top tourist attraction in Ireland and not something to be missed. The cliffs are 214 m high at their highest point and range for 8 km over the Atlantic Ocean.

    After spending the night outside of Adare we toured this little town before heading to the Clifs Of Moher. Adare is know for their authentic thatched roofs.

    After driving North along the Galway coast road and through a portion of the Burren we arrived in Drumcliff, county Sligo. Drumcliff is the home of W.B. Yeats.

    Derry is located just over the border in Northern Ireland. It was the sight of the 1972 Bloody Sunday massacre and has been a city torn apart by the conflict. Today they are still trying to heal the wounds and are working hard to maintain peace.

    This small farming village is often referred to as a "bandit" town because of its strong ties to the IRA. It is a quaint little village with very pleasant residents.
