  • First year of formal religious school

    At the same synagogue where my mother and my father's mother grew up
  • Began working with Dr. Jordan -- Latin teacher for six years

    I studied Latin with Dr. Jordan from 7th grade through high school, and pursued a Classics degree in college on her advisement. Even though I am no longer working in the same field, she has always supported me a student and, now, as a teacher.
  • Became a bat mitzvah

  • First trip to Poland

  • First trip to Israel, right before the 2nd Lebanon War

  • Second trip to Poland

  • Second trip to Israel

  • First year at Oberlin College, and first year of college Hillel

  • Joining the Kosher-Halal co-op at Oberlin

  • Beginning of semester in Rome on Classical Studies program

  • Seeing the Arch of Titus for the first time

  • First summer working at Face to Face/Faith to Faith

  • College graduation
