    The day I was born
I was born in Winter Park Colorado at 4:16. Giving birth in one of the snowiest states in March came with difficulty, long story short I was born during a blizzard, even though I was born on the first day of spring. My mom was at a different hospital with a different doctor because she was visiting my grandparents at the time, and because of the storm she could not make it all the way back to her doctor. I am here today so it was all worth it, she even named me after her mom, my grandmother.

    I got a baby brother!
My brother was born about fifteen months apart from me. He was born at 5:21 on December 14th. I was always jealous like any child because he would get double the presents, anyhow he actually turned out to be pretty cool. My brother and I are not that alike we have some of the same friends, but we are constantly fighting. I feel like he is always the favorite, but he is the youngest. Even though we do fight and have differences we can always just forget about it and go back to being brother and s
  • Moving to Arizona

    Moving to Arizona
We moved to Arizona to a town called Prescott Valley in 2003. I was about five years old making my brother either three or four. My dad moved down first to go house shopping so my brother, mother, and I stayed at my Grandma’s house for about two weeks. We were little when we moved, but still we could tell how different it was. We went from living in a forest to living in a actual housing community.

    separation.
Not long after moving to Arizona my parents got a divorce. It was a clean divorce, there was no drama, at least what I could tell I was very young. They stayed friends, they still talk, and we would spend week days with my mom and weekends with my dad. It was never complicated.
  • Cindy

Around 2009 my brother and I started seeing a difference in our father. He would get these calls just before bed and all throughout the day. He told us it was an old friend from Colorado, but they got closer. The finally told me and Mikey he was dating someone her name was Cindy, she was a friend of the family everyone knew her. It was a long distance relationship that lasted. He would say he was taking “business trips” but really he was going to visit her. Once he knew we knew it was not busine

    Step Dad
On November 18th 2009 my mom got remarried to a man named Brian. He became our stepdad and became a big part of our life. They met at work, they both worked at Walmart. Brian is an automotive kind of guy, he has a 1975 Volkswagen bug, and he painted it yellow and named “her” Daisy. He has had the same care for over 14 years. He has all these pictures of when we were little inside the bug pretending to drive. He made a big difference in our life..

    Tennessee
Because we were only with my dad on the weekends he felt lonely during the week, so he decided to move to Tennessee. He did not tell my brother or me he had told my mom he was going to look for jobs. My mom told us, we felt crushed. He wanted us to go with him but Arizona was our home. He moved in a matter of just two weeks. My brother and I had to go to counseling because we didn’t really understand why he would move away from us. After time we figured it all out and realized it was the right s

    meeting family
Just recently last week my Grandfather passed away, I called him Papa Pete. Everyone was really upset, as you could imagine. We were not doing really well in the money department so friends and family back in Indiana were donating money for gas. We drove straight through from Arizona to Indiana it took us twenty-six hours. When we got there I got to meet so many relatives of mine that I never even knew I had, and I got to say a final goodbye to my grandfather. We even went to my Grandmothers gra

  • Travling

    Travling
Moving to Arizona separated us from all of my dad’s side of the family, so we traveled a lot. Twice a year we would fly to Colorado, once during Christmas and once during summer. As we got older we traveled even more. My grandparents worked for united airlines so we would fly standby all the time, so basically we got to fly free. I have gotten to go to Hawaii, Florida, and even California. Not only did we do a bunch of flying but we drove as well. We took a trip all up and down Rout 66. Traveli
