Fresh out of college, and before earning my teaching credential, I landed a job teaching summer school physical education for 6 weeks at Armijo High School

After earning my teaching credential I was able to get hired in the same district that I had previously taught summer school. My first teaching position was divided between teaching physical education and history at the middle school level

After teaching for just one half of a year, I was given the opportunity to transfer to a new school as a full time physical education teacher. I would also become the department head and get to build a whole new department from the ground up
-
Due to severe budget cuts I am laid off...bummer

After a summer of being laid-off I am able to get rehired administering CELDT testing on a part-time basis

I'm a teacher again...but only at 80% I get hired as a Math, Engish, and History teacher at a different middle school in my district. It's not what I wanted, but it's a job

I'm on the move again. I get rehired as a full-time English teacher, with 100% salary and benefits, at a high in my district. p.s. I have no English credential...and no clue what I'm doing...you've got to love the "rehire list"
