The West Memphis School District in West Memphis, Arkansas gave me my first teaching opportunity as a special educator. My first year I worked as a resource teacher for kindergarten through fourth graders. My second and third year in West Memphis I worked in a self contained classroom of kindergarten through fourth graders with varying functional and academic levels. -

When I moved to New Hampshire, I was offered a job teaching kindergarten special education. This was only a half time position, and the next year I was offered full time teaching preschool in the mornings and kindergarten in the afternoons. -
