I was born in Red Deer, AB. The first of two kids.
-
I had always made my little brother play "school" with me, so when it was time I was very excited to go to kindergarten. I started my education at Joseph Welsh Elementary school.
-
Right before I started grade 3, my family moved so I moved schools. I attended St. Teresa of Avila for one year.
-
In grade 4, I moved schools again to Poplar Ridge Elementary and stayed there until grade 6 to finish my elementary schooling.
-
I attended grade 7 through 9 at River Glen. Fortunately, my middle school years weren't as horrible as some.
-
Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School is where I spent my high school years. I loved my time there, mostly playing on the basketball team for all three years, grade 10, 11 and 12.
-
I knew that I wanted to be a teacher since I was in grade 2, so graduating was very exciting because I knew that it was one step closer to that end goal of being a teacher
-
I started my journey to get my Bachelor of Education at Red Deer College. I had originally planned to transfer after two years, but loved being close to home so in the end, I remained there for all 4 years.

A very exciting event in my educational journey was getting accepted into the Middle Years program. Little did I know, that I would there meet some of the most amazing people.
