In second grade I had one of the most negative experiences with a teacher in the history of my education. She was a first year teacher with a classroom of second and third graders, as a result she seemed very overwhemed and in the midst she was not very professional. On several occassions she seemed to give up on explaining things to me and called me retarded infront of the class, in the end my reading took a hit.

The summer before third grade I attended a tutoring program through Webster University to recieve help with reading from trained reading specialist.
