    This is the year that Moctezuma II became emperor to Tenochtitlan. He was the emperor until he died. Montezuma II was the ninth Aztec emperor of Mexico.

    This is the year when the Aztec capital Tenochtitlan falls. After Moctezuma II was captured and killed, Hernan Cortez and the Spanish forces take over Tenochtitlan. The last Aztec ruler was the husband of Isabel, Moctezuma II’s daughter. His name was Cuauhtemoc.
