    I started my undergrad at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. I attended for 2 years as a Biology major. I was also a member of the "Thundering Herd Marching Band" as a color guard member.

    I enrolled at UNCW in the Fall of 2003 to pursue a Marine Biology major.

    I was only there for one semester.

    After a semester off, I enrolled at WVUP as an Education major. I decided that I enjoyed working with children.

    I graduated from WVU-P in the Spring of 2008 with a BA in Elementary Education with a specialization in Science 5-9.

    I was a Substitute Teacher in Wood Country for 3 years. I worked at every school, at every grade level, and many different subject areas. I had 2 long term sub positions..one was at Parkersburg South High School for 9th grade Science for 4 months and the other at Williamstown High School for 6 weeks for 10-12th grade Science teacher.

    I received a full time contract teaching job at Van Devender Middle School, Parkersburg, WV in August 2001 as a Science Teacher.
