All 4 years of my education were completed at École Secondaire Lacombe Composite High School. For the most part, I liked high school and I did well. I started nursing school in the collaborative Bachelor of Science Nursing Program at RDC in September 2013. I had originally applied for the Licensed Practical Nursing program as my first choice and Bachelor of Science Nursing as my second choice. However, I did not get accepted into the LPN program. Instead, I got accepted into the Bachelor of Science Nursing program. There I met some friends and made strong friendships with a few people who I still talk to. I met my boyfriend in the program.

I took a different career pathway after realizing that nursing was not for me.

After about 2 years into the nursing program, I decided that nursing was not something that I want to do as a career. I did not see myself as a nurse, therefore, I decided to change career paths. I decided to pursue education to become a teacher. I love school and love learning and what better career to pursue than teaching? I was immediately accepted into the program and started in September 2015.

I got accepted into the middle years program at RDC in February during winter term in my second year. I was ecstatic! I was so proud of myself because the program is very competitive and there were only 40 spots available in the program. I am now in my final term of the program!
